Treatment Rationale

As we scientifically show, ASD is the result of infection, inflammation and immune system aberration. Autistic behavior - is the symptom of neuroinflammation of viral origin. So, in order to treat the symptom, the underlying cause should be treated.

Unfortunately, such a simple approach is not currently used.

There have been many treatment approaches to the treatment proposed. 764 parents of ASD children were interviewed about the types of treatments that had been prescribed for their children in a study, and the results revealed that 111 types of treatment had been used.

The most common were interventional corrective therapies including speech therapy, interventional and ABA therapies and nutritional supplement administrations

including vitamin B6, fatty acids and magnesium.

Medications were used less frequently. Among the most common medications were sleep aids and antipsychotic, antihypertensive and antidepressant drugs.

The effectiveness of these drugs and therapies was assessed by a meta-analysis of the existing clinical studies. Despite a variety of approaches, there was no therapy that produced significant improvements. It was therefore concluded that there is no effective comprehensive treatment for ASD children.

However, when we tried the etiotropic approach (meaning that we targeted the underlying cause with the treatment), we found out that there is in fact a protocol that delivers positive change.
